Privacy Policy
QECTOR collects only what it needs to sell licences and answer you. The decoder software sends nothing to us: licences are verified offline.

1. Who is responsible
QECTOR is operated by Guillaume Lessard, sole proprietor trading as iD01t Productions, 2004 De Lorimier, Longueuil, Québec, Canada, J4K 3H7.

2. The software collects nothing
The qector-decoder-v3 package, the Claude plugin and the Workbench run locally. They send no telemetry, usage data, syndromes, matrices or circuits to us, and licence tokens are verified offline with no network call.
The only exception is optional usage-based billing, which exists only under a signed Enterprise agreement and is switched off with QECTOR_OFFLINE=1.
3. What we collect, and why
We do not use your information for advertising, we do not sell or rent it, and we make no decision about you by automated means alone.

4. Consent
We use personal information only for the purposes above, which we state when we collect it. By buying a licence, writing to us or booking a call, you consent to those uses. You may withdraw consent at any time, subject to what the law requires us to keep (for example, tax records).
5. Service providers and transfers outside Québec
We use the providers below. Each receives only what its service needs and is bound by its own privacy and security commitments. Some of them store or process information outside Québec and Canada, mainly in the United States. Before relying on a provider, we assess whether the information will receive adequate protection.

7. How long we keep it
When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.
- Purchase and licence records: for the life of the licence, then 6 years after the end of the tax year they relate to, as Québec and Canadian tax law requires.
- Messages and bookings: 3 years after the last exchange, unless they are part of a purchase record.
- Hosting logs: kept by our providers under their own policies, usually days to months; we do not keep separate copies.
8. Security and incidents
Access to licence records and accounts is limited to the person in charge and protected with strong authentication. Licence tokens are signed with a private key that never leaves controlled systems.
We keep a register of confidentiality incidents. If an incident presents a risk of serious injury, we notify the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec and the people affected as soon as possible.
9. Your rights
You may ask to access the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to receive it in a structured, commonly used technological format, to have it deleted or de-indexed where the law allows, and to withdraw your consent. Write to [email protected]. We answer within 30 days, free of charge.
If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec, to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or to the data protection authority where you live.
10. Children
Our services are meant for professionals and researchers. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 14.
11. Changes
We will post any change here with a new date. If a change affects how we use information you already gave us, we will tell customers by e-mail and ask for consent where the law requires it.
